The Kid-Friendly waves, which will be released at 5:30 and 5:45 PM, are designed for younger kids and their families who wish to run together through a less intense course. Though zombies will still attempt to “infect” participants by grabbing flags, their demeanor will be less scary compared to waves being released later in the evening.
The Zombie Escape is a dash run where participants are challenged to complete a course while avoiding zombies. It is open to youth and adults of all ages and will be held at the Griffin Park Disc Golf Course on Saturday, October 13. Check-in begins at 5 PM. Each participant will begin the course wearing a belt with two flags. Zombies will attempt to “infect” participants by snatching their flags. Those who complete the course with one or both flags still attached will be given a “Survivor” medal. Those who finish the course with both flags missing will be given an “Infected” medal. When registering, participants choose a “wave” to be a part of. Waves that are released between 6:15 and 7 PM will be designed for older participants. Registration runs from September 1 through October 5 and the fee is $25 per person which includes a t-shirt, souvenir race bib, and medal.
